At the mouth of Rummelsburger Bucht where it meets the Spree, a handful of houseboats gather. I spent quite some time searching the Alt-Stralau peninsula for a vantage point to capture this photo. I like how the greenhouse on the left-hand houseboat, both conceptually and—somehow—emotionally, sets itself apart from the mighty, seemingly untoppleable smokestack on the shore, almost presenting a completely different narrative about life and being.
